The European Biomass Association

Be involved in the rapid growth of the European bioenergy markets

"Bioenergy Markets for Europe" is the main focus of the AEBIOM European Bioenergy Conference which is organized annually in Europe's capital – Brussels. The event aims at all companies, organizations and institutes that wish to be involved in the rapid growth of the European bioenergy markets.

Be informed about upcoming legislation, newest developments and innovations

Brussels is the heart of the bioenergy policy decision making system, the renewable directive being an outstanding example. Be informed about upcoming legislation on sustainability criteria for solid/gaseous biomass, revision of energy taxation, biomass fuels standards, and many others.

The AEBIOM European Bioenergy Conference organized by AEBIOM in 2010, 2011 and 2012 brought together more than 270 experts to eight sessions of the conference and free pre-conference workshops to discuss the EU policies, biomass potential and supply related issues, bioenergy markets, financing possibilities, the evaluation of national renewable energy action plans, sustainability criteria and bioenergy technologies to produce heat, electricity and biofuels. You can still download conference presentations on the AEBIOM website.

As a side event, AEBIOM organizes every year a dinner hosted by a MEP in the European Parliament offering the participants an opportunity to continue an informal networking while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere in the parliamentarians’ restaurant.
